Willson Contreras’ two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning broke a 3-3 tie and enabled the Cubs to get past the visiting St. Louis Cardinals last night, 5-3. The Windy City Series begins this afternoon at Wrigley Field with the Cubs hosting the White Sox for the first of a pair of games before the two teams play at Guaranteed Rate Field, starting on Wednesday evening.
The Sox come “home” off of a 5-4 loss in Kansas City yesterday. Brandon Moss’ two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning won the game for the Royals.
