HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Greg Robinson’s first City Council Work-Study Session as interim Holland City Manager will require him to wear his other hat this evening.
Robinson, who had stepped down from city government to become the manager of the West Michigan Airport Authority, will address council members about an upcoming millage renewal vote this November. The WMAA is seeking to maintain a one-tenth of a mill levy that was initially approved in 2012, but to have this voter endorsement last for 10 years, not just five. The authority wants approval from the leadership of Holland, Zeeland and Park Township about ballot language so that it can be submitted for county approval by August 15th.
Also during this evening’s work-study session, council members will continue a review of city-owned properties with an eye to the future, and will go over proposals for retaining consultants to deal with solid waste and recycling issues.
Robinson assumed the interim city manager duties on Monday after Ryan Cotton stepped down on June 30th following a five year tenure.
