In boys’ play: Zeeland West is at Reeths-Puffer; Saugatuck is at Bangor; Fennville is at Gobles; and in a girls/boys doubleheader, Calvary is at Black River.
Also in girls’ play: Saugatuck hosts Bangor, as Gary Stevens brings you the action around 6:40 PM on the Lakeshore’s 92.7 The Van; Holland is at Allendale; Zeeland West hosts Covenant Christian; and Fennville hosts Gobles.

Grand Valley State split a basketball doubleheader with visiting Ferris State last night. In the opener, Taylor Parmley scored 19 points as the Lady Lakers won, 85-38. Peter Firlik and Mory Diane each tallied 14 points as the Bulldogs took the men’s nightcap, 98-73. On Thursday evening, GVSU’s teams are in Detroit to face the Wayne State Warriors.
In state major-college basketball tonight: Western Michigan hosts Ohio; Central Michigan is at Buffalo; and Eastern Michigan hosts Kent State.

The NHL resumes regular season play this evening following the weekend All-Star Game break. The Detroit Red Wings welcome the New Jersey Devils to Joe Louis Arena, with Ken Kal and Paul Woods describing the action from Hockeytown, beginning at 7:10 PM, on 1450 WHTC. Meanwhile, the Chicago Blackhawks skate in San Jose against the Sharks.

The Griffins’ Matt Lorito scored in the fourth round of the shootout to give the Central Division All-Stars a 1-0 victory over the host Atlantic Division and the championship at the American Hockey League All-Star tournament in Allentown, Pennsylvania last night. Regular-season play resumes on Friday evening for Grand Rapids as it plays the Chicago Wolves at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
