HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A crash took place in Georgetown Township Friday morning, injuring one senior from Jenison.
Nathan Brechlin, 77, was last listed in stable condition at Butterworth hospital after sustaining injuries in a crash at the intersection of Rosewood St. and 18th Ave. in Georgetown Township.
According to Sgt. Jeff Steigenga of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred just before 10 a.m. when 81 year old Hudsonville resident June Hicks failed to stop at a red light on Rosewood St. Brechlin was travelling on 18th Ave. and was headed through the intersection when Hicks struck his vehicle.
In the aftermath of the crash, Brechlin was pinned inside of his vehicle and had to be extricated by Georgetown Township Fire and Rescue. Brechlin suffered minor injuries while Hicks was uninjured in the crash.
