HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Hundreds of women’s marches took place in Michigan on Saturday.
In Grand Rapids thousands marched downtown with rallies at Rosa Parks Circle. The Saugatuck- Douglas area saw even more marching in solidarity.
In Lansing, more than eight-thousand rallied at the state Capitol, and marches were also held in Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and other Michigan cities.
Organizers estimate that around 250-thousand people took part in the Women’s March on Chicago Saturday.
Hundreds of thousands descended on Washington, D.C. with at least 100 celebrities marching and giving speeches. Those involved in the mrach say it’s just the beginning and that more marches will be organized throughout the year.
