HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – As part of Civil Rights Celebration week, Hope College will host their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Rights Lecture on Monday, January 16.
Julian Hinson, a 2010 Hope graduate, will explore “Dismantling Injustice: A New Legacy for a Better Future” Hinson who was president of the Black Student Union and a Phelps Scholar is currently a fourth-year medical student at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
All week Hope will host their annual Civil Rights Celebration week with different activities and a special “Time to Serve” opportunity for students on Saturday, January 21.
The address Monday evening is at 7 p.m. at Dimnent Memorial Chapel located at 277 College Avenue in Holland. The event is free and open to the public.
