HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The intersection of Ottogan St. and 104th Ave. in Holland Township was closed for 45 minutes yesterday after emergency crews had to clean up a two-car crash on Friday night.
Porcha Burns, a 25-year-old Hudsonville resident, told deputies of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department that she was driving south on 104th Ave. at around 10:30 p.m. when she hydroplaned into the intersection at Ottogan St. Timothy Rietsma, a 51-year-old Hamilton resident, was traveling east through the intersection and says he saw that Burns was driving too fast for the conditions. Jodie Rietsma, 51 of Hamilton was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle and was injured in the crash. She is listed in good condition at Holland Hospital. Timothy Rietsma, the driver, was treated for his injuries at the scene. A 3-year-old toddler in the backseat was unharmed.
