HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A morning of coffee and conversation awaits you at Windmill Island Gardens.
Koffie Kletz is a series of casual Saturday morning gatherings where community members learn about topics relevant to Dutch culture, Holland culture and Windmill Island Gardens. This Saturday, February 25, at 10 a.m. learn about life in the Dutch East Indies.
Guest speaker is Ralph Ockerse whose family lived through the Japanese invasion during World War II. He and his sister wrote a book detailing their experience called “Our Childhood in the Former Colonial Dutch East Indies:Recollections before and during Our Wartime Internment by the Japanese.”
The events are free to Friends of Windmill Island Gardens and a $5 donation for non-members is suggested.
