WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – There’s a new name for the Lakeshore-based initative to stimulate growth in agricultural technology.
The Great Lakes Ag-Tech Business Incubator, began by the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners in December of 2014, has been rebranded as “ACRE AgTech.” Holland-based Burch Partners led the effort in establishing this new name and visual identity, funded by a USDA Rural Business Development Grant, with the aim to enhance marketing and outreach efforts.
Organizers say that the aim of the initiative will remain the same in connecting, developing and cultivating technology innovations, either into new businesses, or in commercializing them with established firms. Other counties have been encouraged to join Ottawa County in this effort, although the ACRE AgTech’s website currently lists no other governmental entities as partners.
