UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – Five girls/boys doubleheaders highlight high school basketball action along the Lakeshore tonight. Catch the boys’ half of the twin-bill between Black River and Calvary from Holland Christian High with Greg Chandler at 6:40 PM on 1450 WHTC and the New 99.7 FM.
Other doubleheaders include Holland Christian at South Christian, Zeeland East versus Kenowa Hills at DeVos Fieldhouse, Saugatuck hosting Kalamazoo Christian and Fennville entertaining Coloma. In single encounters: Holland High’s boys are at Cedar Springs while the Lady Dutch entertain Sparta; Zeeland West’s girls host Reeths-Puffer; and Hamilton’s girls are home to Grand Rapids Catholic Central.

Hope’s Flying Dutchmen are in the Badger State for a pair of games versus two of the University of Wisconsin’s satellite campuses, beginning this evening in Platteville against the Pioneers. Mike Coleman brings you all the action, beginning at 7:40 PM, on the Lakeshore’s 92.7 The Van.
Grand Valley State’s basketball teams were apparently afflicted at the DeltaPlex by the same malaise that the regular occupants of that building, the Grand Rapids Drive, have in losing a pair of games to Michigan Tech last night. Kyle Monroe scored 28 points with 13 rebounds as the Huskies took the men’s opener, 78-68. The Lakers lost the women’s nightcap in overtime, 85-81, as Brenna Heise had 22 points for the visitors from Houghton. GVSU returns to the more friendly confines of the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale tomorrow afternoon for a round ball twin bill against Northern Michigan.
Speaking of the Drive, who are 6-9 on the season and just 4-4 at home, the Detroit Pistons’ NBA G League affiliate welcome the Raptors 905 from Mississauga, Ontario to the DeltaPlex this evening.
