HOLLAND TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 47-year-old Grand Haven man is in stable condition after a head-on collision Wednesday evening.
Ottawa County Sheriff Deputy Matt Wilfong says deputies were called to a two-vehicle head-on crash at 96th Avenue and Adams Street in Holland Township around 11:40 p.m. A 29-year-old Zeeland man whose name is not being released was driving a 2008 Nissan Ultima east on Adams waiting to turn north on 96th Avenue when he pulled directly into the path Keith Garvelink of Grand Haven. Garvelink’s Hyundai Sonata struck the Nissan head on.
Garvelink suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Holland hospital. The driver of the at fault vehicle was arrested and is currently lodged at the Ottawa County jail for OWI causing injury.
Assisting on the scene were the Holland/Park Township Emergency Unit, Holland Township Fire Rescue and AMR ambulance.
