HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Police have identified three suspects in the malicious destruction of property in the Tallmadge Township area of Ottawa County.
Most of the damage to over 50 mailboxes and one person’s vehicle occurred November 23rd, Thanksgiving morning near the Kent County/Ottawa County line in eastern Tallmadge Township. Captain Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says a tip on Silent Observer led deputies to interview three suspects.
The first suspect is a 19-year-old Jamestown Township man. The other suspects are a 20-year-old Walker man and a 19-year-old Walker woman.
Investigators believe the three are responsible for the damage spree resulting in several thousand dollars in total damage amounts.
The investigation is being turned over to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for potential felony charges. All three remain free depending the decision of the Prosecutor. The case does remain under investigation.
