GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 41-year-old Hudsonville woman is in stable condition after crashing her vehicle into a building at the Brook Meadow Apartment Complex in Georgetown Twp.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene at 185 44th Street around 4:35 p.m. Thursday, August 18. According to a witness, the vehicle pulled off 44th Street into the apartment complex parking lot and stopped. Sgt. Matt Wilfong says the 2008 Honda Odyssey then accelerated forward striking the curb, a UPS box and the building. The witness estimates the vehicle driving 40 mph at the time of the incident.
Three minor children who were in the vehicle say that the woman, Amy Sremba said she was not feeling well when she pulled into the parking lot. The children were not injured.
Sremba was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. It is believed she may have had a reaction to pain medication that was just prescribed. No one in the building was injured.
