GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC) – A three-vehicle crash in Georgetown Township sent a 35-year-old Jenison woman and her nine-year-old passenger to the hospital Wednesday evening.
Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Bauer Road and Meadowbrook around 6:16 p.m. Sgt. Matt Wilfong says Tereasa Yonker was driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe east on Bauer Road when she hit a vehicle driven by 83-year-old Shirley Huizenga of Jenison who was stopped waiting for traffic to clear to complete her left turn.
Sgt. Matt Wilfong says after the impact, Huizenga’s vehicle hit 65-year-old Dale DeMoot’s vehicle that was westbound on Bauer waiting to turn on Meadowbrook. A witness told police that Yonker came up to the stopped car too quick, tried to swerve but couldn’t avoid the crash.
Both Tereasa and Abigail Yonker were transported to Spectrum Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
