HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Greater Ottawa County United Way set a record for Volunteerism and honored those who gave of their time at their 2017 Volunteer Stars awards.
In March volunteers were nominated by community members and organizations throughout Ottawa County and 250 individuals received awards. A list of the Volunteer Stars is online.
Vice President of Volunteer Engagement Shannon LaHaie says volunteers gave hundreds of hours to the funded programs of United Way. Some of the projects included working with Hospice, helping the disabled and elderly, tackling housing issues and more.
