GLENN, MI (WHTC) – A local doctor may have endangered the lives of his patients after performing surgery on them inside a pole barn, according to an Allegan County Health Department report.
The pole barn is located on 114th Ave. in Glenn and does not have a certificate of occupancy. The building is not approved for any business activities, but that didn’t stop the doctor from performing a liposuction surgical procedure in it.
The police report submitted to the Allegan County Health Department expressed concern that appropriate Biohazard Standard may not have been followed during the procedure.
Residents of Glenn told Fox 17 that Dr. Bradley Bastow of Body Laser Sculpting is the doctor who performed the surgeries. Body Laser Sculpting has multiple locations throughout West Michigan, but its South Haven location is listed as the pole barn in Glenn.
Allegan County Health Officials advise to seek medical care if they have had a procedure done at this location and show signs of infections such as fever, redness, and swelling.
