ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – It’s prom season for area high schools and a time when parents and schools can’t stress enough the importance of the dangers of drinking and driving.
In an effort to send a message to students, Zeeland East and West high school students will be presented with a graphic reminder of the dangers. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the message is not only important during prom and graduation season, but each and every day.
The Zeeland PROMise Mock Car Crash will take place at 10:30 a.m. today, April 21 at Zeeland Stadium located at 100th Avenue and Riley Street.
Along with the Sheriff’s Department, Zeeland and Holland Fire Rescue will be on hand as well as AMR ambulance, Aero Med will fly into the stadium and Yntema Funeral Home will also be present.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents that you will hear sirens and see Aero Med above the stadium, but this is only a mock car crash.
