JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 52-year-old Hamilton man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash near the Allegan-Ottawa county line late on Friday morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Buter, Bradley Parkhurst was driving his van southbound on 24th Avenue and was approaching Ottagan Street, while William Petit was guiding his semi with a trailer northbound. Petit told deputies that he saw Parkhurst’s vehicle start drifting across the center line and unsuccessfully attempted to avoid a collision, Parkhurst had no recollection of anything that happened prior to the crash.
Parkhurst was initially taken to Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital for treatment; Petit, a 46-year-old man from Bellevue, was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
