HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Do you remember at the beginning of the school year there was always a science project involving leaves? Now there is a workshop to help you and your kids with their project.
Ottawa County Parks Department has a Leaf Collecting Workshop that will help kids identify native Michigan trees, as well as go over some techniques to create a lovely science project portfolio to turn in.
Ottawa County Park’s Communications Specialist Jessica Van GinHoven says kids not only have to pick up the leaves but they also have to identify them. ” The workshop will give everyone an hour and a half to collect some leaves and there will be help to identify them with tips and tricks. There a a lot of native trees at Grand Ravines Park.”
The workshop is Saturday, September 25 from 3-4:40 p.m. at Grand Ravines North Park located at 9920 42nd Avenue in Jenison. Registration is required.
