HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 32-year-old Holland man is in serious condition after being struck while on his motorcycle.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brent Converse says the crash occurred Wednesday morning, September 14, at approximately 7 a.m. on Riley Street just west of US-31. Zachariah Willis 32, who was not wearing a helmet, was westbound on Riley when he was struck by Scott Oosterbaan 41 of Grand Haven.
Oosterbaan had just exited US-31 and was westbound on Riley when he attempted a U-turn back towards the highway, but struck Willis who was also westbound on Riley.
Willis was first transported to Holland Hospital by AMR ambulance and then transferred to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids. Oosterbaan was not injured in the crash.
