GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – A one-time club softball coach from the Tri-Cities area has run afoul of the law again.
Thomas Galloway was ordered held on 150 thousand dollars bond by Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Ed Post following a Tuesday afternoon arraignment. The 44-year-old Spring Lake man, out on bond pending a scheduled early November trial on first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges stemming from allegedly assaulting a then 13-year-old girl in 2012, was arrested on Monday in Allendale after being spotted at a local restaurant drinking beer, which is a violation of his bond conditions.
Galloway had been the coach of a girls travel softball team when he was initially arrested in March, with the club terminating his services shortly thereafter. According to authorities, he had at least twice broken conditions of his bond since then, including a trip out of state to attend a wedding. There was also a felony warrant out for his arrest out of Muskegon County for a nearly 700-dollar bounced check at a local box hardware store.
Galloway is facing life in prison if convicted of the four CSC counts against him.
