HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland is hosting the Eyes On the Prize Rally as it’s in the final quarter of the Energy competition.
With a $5 million top prize award at stake, the competition has communities challenging each other nationwide to work together with local governments and utilities to reduce energy that is consumed from area natural gas and electric utilities.
In 2015 Holland was selected with 50 communities from around the country are competing with Farmington Hills iss the other city in Michigan in the competition..
City Manager Ryan Cotten says Mayor Nancy DeBoer and Councilman Brian Burch will take a look back at the last two years with testimonials from Holland residents on how they have helped reduce energy.
The Rally takes place Monday, November 14, at the Holland Arts Council located at 150 East 8th Street in Holland from 5-7 p.m.
