ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – A Holland woman suffered a head injury in a two vehicle crash during Wednesday’s afternoon commute.
Sgt. Bob Ruster of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says that around 3:45 p.m. November 2, deputies were dispatched to Washington Avenue and Chicago Drive when Andrea Millspaugh, 40, of Grandville was unable to stop in time at a stop sign. Millspaugh’s 2007 Chevy Impala rear-ended and side-swiped a vehicle driven by Mary Jellema, 81, of Holland who was stopped at Chicago Drive.
Jellema was pinned inside her 2001 Toyota Prius and had to be extricated by Zeeland Township Fire Rescue. Jellema was transported to Zeeland Hospital in stable condition. Millspaugh was not injured in the crash which remains under investigation.
