HOLLAND (WHTC) — Holland firefighters were called to a fire on I-196 at M-450 Friday afternoon (May 13, 2016). They found “a semi truck and tank trailer on the shoulder with the trailer tires on fire,” Capt. Chris Tinney wrote in a statement emailed to media.
He said the fire, on the passenger side of the trailer, was doused within minutes. Though the tanker was filled with 6,000 gallons of motor oil, none of it spilled, Tinney said. Neither the truck driver nor any firefighters were hurt during the incident.
Holland firefighters were assisted by Holland police, the Graafschap Fire Department and Overisel Fire Department, Tinney wrote.
