HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A high-speep pursuit south out of Holland overnight led to the arrest of a woman.
According to Holland Public Safety Captain Robert Buursma, officers spotted a vehicle going about 60 miles per hour on southbound Washington Avenue near 40th Street around 1 AM. The driver failed to pull over “upon command” and eventually fled down 58th Street, where Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies joined HPS cruisers in the pursuit.
The Holland officers broke off the chase when the suspect drove into downtown Fennville where “numerous” pedestrians were in the area. However, the deputies later located the vehicle and took the unnamed woman into custody on multiple charges.
There were no reported injuries in the incident, and the suspect was expected to remain in the Allegan County Jail through the weekend pending an arraignment in Allegan District Court.
The matter remains under investigation.
