HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland Audubon Club will give you a glimpse of Isle Royale in a special presentation called “Adventures on Isle Royale.”
The evening will be hosted by Kelly Morrissey and Kristen Hintz, Ottawa County Parks Naturalists who have backpacked the remote island for the first time. Morrissey joined the National Park Service in 2015 at Isle Royale as an Interpretive Park Ranger. Visitors to the park in 2015 affectionately referred to her as “The Loon Ranger.” Hintz graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a BS in Natural Resource Management with an emphasis in Environmental Education and Interpretation. She joined Ottawa County Parks in 2009.
The free program is Tuesday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Hemlock Park Nature Education Center 8115 in West Olive. Coffee, tea and light snacks will be provided.
