HOLLAND (WHTC) — A 20-year-old Park Township man is in police custody after a gun incident in Holland Township Tuesday afternoon.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Leisure Estates mobile home park at 523 Butternut Drive Tuesday afternoon. Detectives found a mobile home hit by several bullets, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.
Three adults and a 3-month-old infant were inside the home when the shots were fired but no one was hurt, Bennett said. One of the adults gave chase to the Nissan SUV but it got away.
Police were able to find the fleeing SUV and recovered a gun, Bennett said. All four occupants of the vehicle were questioned.
One as-yet unidentified 20 year-old Park Township man awaits felony charges in Ottawa County Jail, Bennett said and the three others may face charges later this week.
Police believe the suspect and the victim knew one another.
The incident remains under investigation and police are looking for tips. Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT.
