HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 53-year-old Hudsonville man was found unconscious in Hudsonville High School’s parking lot on Monday afternoon, June 6.
Thomas Klotz was operating a moped southbound through the high school parking lot when the front tire of his moped hit a curb. The moped then went airborne over a grassy area and came to rest in the main circle entrance to the high school off from 32nd Avenue.
According to Sgt. Kristie Wendt of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, responders arrived on scene to find Klotz unconscious. He was transported to Metro Hospital in serious condition with a head injury. At the time of the incident, the school was closed.
The incident remains under investigation.
