The Sox come home off of an 11-inning, 6-5 loss in Seattle on Wednesday. Leonys Martin hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs for the Mariners, including the game-winning blast off of Dan Jennings in the bottom of the 11th inning.
Anthony Rizzo cracked two homers and drove in three runs as the Cubs beat the visiting New York Mets on Wednesday, 6-2. Chicago is off on Thursday before opening up a three-game series in Milwaukee against the Brewers on Friday evening.
