HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The award winning musical The Fantasticks is coming to the Hope Summer Repertory Theatre.
Dale Dorin Marketing and Public Relations for the Theatre says this musical was chosen because it was so powerful and has a main prevailing message of love. “If you think about all the hurt we are seeing in the news a musical as powerful as this has a message, that love will prevail all.” Dorin says.
The Fantasticks is a 1960 Tony Award winning musical. The show’s original off-Broadway production ran a total of 42 years and 17,162 performances, making it the world’s longest-running musical
The Hope Summer Repertory Theatre has 105 company members who come from 22 states. It is part of the union with professional actors.
The show opens at Dewitt Theatre on the campus of Hope College in Holland on July 22 and will run through August 11, 2016. For tickets call 616.395.7890 or email the theater.
