HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland is hosting a delegation from Frankenmuth today, Monday, July 11.
It’s part of the Mayor’s Exchange program where communities share ideas and best practices as well as sharing the city’s accomplishments and focal points of the city. Mayor Nancy DeBoer had the chance to do just that in Frankenmuth last month and she says “it will be funb to reconnect and to get their perspective on what’s goin on here.” The City of Frankenmuth will bring 12 members of its staff including Mayor Gary Rupprecht, the Mayor Pro Tem Art Loeffler, City Manager Charlie Graham and Police Chief Don Mawer.
The day will start at City Hall and then a tour of Holland will take place throughout the day. They will visit the Holland Museum, Arts Council, Police Department/Courts, Windmill Island as well as BPW Energy Park.
Frankenmuth’s fourth Mayor was elected in November 1985. He and his wife Barbara live in Frankenmuth and are both lifetime members of the Frankenmuth Historical Society.
