PLAINWELL, MI (WHTC) – On January 11, 2016 exactly 4 months after her removal from the Michigan State House of Representatives, Cindy Gamrat filed the paperwork for a new LLC, Stop Surveillance Abuse and just eleven days later on the eve of the ABC 20/20 story covering her expulsion, launched a new and unique website, StopSurveillanceAbuse.com.
Disgraced former State Representative Cindy Gamrat says she is a victim of surveillance abuse and is working with an Ohio Consultant to do seminars on the subject for others who may fear they are also being watched or recorded.
She isn’t talking about the Government spying on our lives, necessarily. She says more often than not it’s a romantic partner, spouse, co-worker, relative; or somebody they know, but they can also be a stranger” .
In her case, it was her husband, Joe Gamrat, who found out she was having an affair and was the mysterious e-mailer that Todd Courser claimed was “blackmailing” them, demanding they either resign or face the humiliation of having the affair revealed. She says surveillance equipment has gotten smaller and cheaper in recent years and that makes it easier to use.
The goal of the Gamrat’s operation is to set up a directory of people that can be sought out for help if a person feels they are being watched.
Seminars are already scheduled in Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania with more planned for across the nation.
