GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – A group from West Michigan making up several area Catholic schools including Grand Rapids West Catholic and Muskegon Catholic Central, and Parishes were stranded along the Pennsylvania turnpike after the massive storm shut down the road entirely.
The group from the Grand Rapids Diocese joined the “March for Life” on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade this week. After the annual protest, the group left a day early to try and beat the bad weather, but at around 10:30 p.m. Friday night their bus got stuck on the turnpike.
Rescue workers came through with water and snacks. The more than two dozen teenagers arrived in back in Michigan in the overnight hours.
