ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – Deputies and Detectives with the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in the case stemming from the Assault and unlawful entry of a residence in Manilus Twp which occured on September 29, 2015.
The suspect Christopher Lee Allen, 30, of Lee Township has been arraigned on several felony charges and remains in the Allegan County Corrections Center. A break in the case occurred after a reported suspicious vehicle which had been seen in the area of the victim’s home was located. The suspect was arrested on unrelated charges by Patrol Deputies who notified Detectives of the new information in the case.
On September 29, 2015 a 25-year-old Manilus woman was assaulted in her garage in the 5600 block of 136th Avenue. The woman was getting into her car as she was on her way to work. The suspect opened her door and pulled her from her vehicle.
The victim was able to fight off the suspect before it was determined what his intent was. She did receive minor injuries during the assault. Deputies were assisted by the Michigan State Police and the Fennville Police Department who also responded to assist in searching for the suspect.
