HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Twenty more people have been laid off from Ottawa County’s community mental health department.
The layoffs occurred at the health community based service locations in Holland and Coopersville. Officials say the cuts are a result of the state’s reduced funding for mental health programs.
WZZM TV-13 reports Ottawa County is requesting a tax increase to generate $3.5 million dollars a year for mental health programs.
