HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Strong winds that buffeted the Lakeshore overnight had put some residents in the dark this morning.
Consumers Energy says over a thousand of its customers lost power as a result of winds that exceeded 30 miles per hour at times. The most affected area was to the immediate northwest of Allegan, with isolated outages in Monterey and Blendon Townships. Service was restored for most of those affected by mid-morning.
There were no reports of any electricity out in the area served by the Holland Board of Public Works as a result of these recent winds.
