HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – As West Michigan digs out from a massive snowstorm, arctic air will be moving into West Michigan this week with another possible snow storm this upcoming weekend.
Meteorologist Nathan Jerezal of the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids tells WHTC News that over eight-inches of snow fell in parts of Ottawa County, while Kalamazoo also had about eight-inches, and Holland recorded just over seven.
The NWS says we can expect a quiet couple of days with a few snow showers with little accumulation. A cold front will usher in colder weather with a few snow showers. Once the cold air arrives on Wednesday, Lake Effect Snow can be expected along the lakeshore, including Holland.
Potential for another system to move in this upcoming weekend could again create hazardous driving conditions. Jerezal says another system could bring in a mixture of freezing rain, sleet and more snow late Friday into Saturday.
