GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC) – Running a red light on Wednesday evening put a 53-year-old Jenison man and three of his family members into Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital beds.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christie Wendt, James Caro was driving southbound on 28th Avenue north of Hudsonville when he drove through the red light at Port Sheldon Street and collided with the westbound vehicle of 17-year-old Lane Potter of Hudsonville. Caro, his 51-year-old wife Terry, his 21-year-old son Zachary and his 86-year-old mother Arelene were all hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries; a 24-year-old woman in his vehicle was not hurt.
Potter was also uninjured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
