HOLLAND (WHTC) — Coopersville-based Grassfields Cheese announced a voluntary recall on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, of approximately 20 thousand pounds of organic cheeses after possible E. coli contamination was discovered.
The recalled cheeses were sold at the firm’s Coopersville shop as well as nationwide via the web.
All Grassfield cheeses made between Dec. 1, 2015, through June are included in the recall.
E.coli infection symptoms can include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. People feeling ill should seek immediate medical attention, according to Grassfield’s statement emailed to media on Wednesday.
