HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Construction on US-31 in Holland is on schedule with phase 2 to start on Sunday August 7.
MDOT says right now the right lane of southbound US-31 is closed berween Quincy ans Felch to finish the box culvert installation under the median of US-31. The closure will be in place for approximately one week. Southbound is open to two lanes of traffic just south of the box culvert work and northbound has two lanes open too.
On Sunday, August 7, southbound traffic will be maintained 2 lanes from just south of New Holland to James Street. The right lane of southbound will be forced to exit onto Lakewood Boulevard. From Lakewood south to 8th street there will only be one lane of SB traffic. Northbound traffic will be croissed over onto the new southbound roadway just after going through the 16th avenue intersection.
