HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The city of Holland will join over 9,000 communities and organizations worldwide to initiate the Vietnam War Commemoration.
The Commemoration was initiated by the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act authorized by the Secretary of Defense. The program is for all Vietnam-era veterans no matter where they have served in the world says Roger Jansen, President of the Holland Area Veterans Council. All branches of military are invited to participate. All families of those killed or missing in action are invited to attend as well.
The 50th Anniversary Commemoration will take place at the Holland Civic Center on Friday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m.
