HOLLAND (WHTC) — A hit-and-run crash on U.S. 31 in Spring Lake early Saturday morning injured two Muskegon residents, said from Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dean DeVries.
Witnesses were unable to describe the hit-and-run car or its driver, police said.
The crash happened when that vehicle, then southbound on U.S. 31, attempted to change lanes just before 7 a.m. Saturday. Instead, it struck another southbound car, driven by Aaron Paul-Monroe Anderson, 18, of Muskegon.
The impact spun Anderson’s car around until it was facing north, at which point his car was struck head-on by a third southbound vehicle, driven by Muskegon resident Theresa Ann Gooden, 50.
The hit-and-run vehicle fled the scene, DeVries said.
Anderson was taken a North Ottawa Hospial ambulance to Mercy Hospital for treatment of what DeVries called a minor neck injury.
Gooden told emergency responders she would seek her own treatment; the nature of her injuries were undisclosed by police.
Spring Lake Fire Rescue assisted police at the scene.
