EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Holland BPW’s Service Center is up for a Governor’s Energy Excellence Award that will be given in a ceremony at East Lansing’s Wharton Center this evening. The Service Center has cut down on electric usage to half of what it was in 2006, and is vying with MSU’s Lynda Boomer and Roseville Community Schools in suburban Detroit for the Best Public Project honors. This first-annual Governor’s Energy Excellence Awards spotlights organizations and individuals for their commitment to responsible energy production and consumption while cutting down on energy waste.
