JENISON, MI (WHTC) – A Hudsonville man is awaiting charges for crashing his car while high on Ultra Duster in Ottawa County. Sgt. Jay Douglas stated in an Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department report that a 47-year-old Hudsonville resident was driving west bound on Bauer Rd. near 28th Ave. in Georgetown Twp. when he passed out at the wheel, crossed over the center road line, and crashed into a tree.
The driver, who remains unnamed pending charges, admitted to deputies that he was inhaling a keyboard cleaning agent called Ultra Duster while operating the vehicle. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident and suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids and is further being investigated.
