KALAMAZOO, MI (WHTC) – Western Michigan University officials have released the name of the student found dead in her residence hall late Saturday morning.
18-year-old Morgan Jusick, from Paw Paw, graduated from Portage Central High last fall and had just begun her college career.
University Spokesperson Cheryl Roland says counselors have been made available on the WMU Campus for her friends and dorm mates.
A friend found her body at about 11 a.m. EMT’s were summoned and resuscitation efforts begun but the Medical Examiner pronounced her dead in her room at Henry Hall.
Officials say there are no signs of drugs or foul play but an autopsy and tests will be conducted to try and determine a cause of death sometime this week.
