HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A nine-year veteran of the Holland Department of Public Safety was voted by his peers and the Command staff as the department’s 2015 Reserve Office of the Year.
Chief Matt Messer pointed out the consistency, reliability and willingness to help at a moment’s notice as factors that earned James Proce this honor. His attention to detail and sense of humor were always appreciated, and his superiors noted his outstanding physical fitness and high standard of performance of his duties.
Officer Proce works full time with a Grand Rapids-based electonic manufacturing supplier and holds a BS in Automotive Management out of Ferris State. He will represent the Reserve Unit at a variety of functions over the next year, including the Volksparade and Governor’s Luncheon during next May’s Tulip Time Festival.
