HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland movie goers are in for a more pleasant experience at the Holland 7 movie theatre. The company owner of the Holland 7, Goodrich Quality Theatres, is in the process of installing state-of-the-art recliner seats in one of the Holland 7’s auditoriums.
Theatre five will be outfitted with recliner seats from Telescopic Seating Systems and should be finished by next week. The rest of the Holland 7’s auditoriums will be converted to recliner seating in the coming month and should be finished by the end of November.
Seating capacity in the theatre will be limited from its original 175 seats to a mere 88 seats, but Goodrich is hoping that the new seating will attract more guests and cause the theatre to fill up seats more.
Goodrich also declined to foot the cost of the Holland 7 project, stating only that the number was in the six figure range. According to a press release the Holland 7 is not planning on raising the prices of theatre tickets to cover the costs, but the expected rise in theatre attendance and a cut on cleaning labor time will offset the expenses.
