HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland Rescue Mission is getting ready for their Annual Great Thanksgiving Banquet for those in need. It’s a week from today on November 25 at the DeVos Field House at Hope College. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event starts at 6:00 p.m.
Seating will be provided for over 1300 guests and all are welcome at no cost. The Mission takes it a step further with Care Boxes.
Anna Southwell, volunteer coordinator for the mission, says they have 125 care boxes with 20 hygiene items enclosed. The boxes are decorated holiday style by the volunteers, churches and businesses who help put them together. They are still in need of hygiene items for the boxes.
There are several ways to volunteer. You can volunteer to work the meal itself, make a care box or donate items for the boxes. See the links below.
