HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The 13th annual Relay for Life at Hope College’s Dow Center kicks off tonight. The school’s chapter of Colleges Against Cancer is sponsoring the event, with 31 teams and over 500 students strolling around the center’s track in the 12-hour effort to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy and service efforts. There will be special ceremonies honoring cancer survivors, cancer victims and those who are continuing to battle cancer. The ACS Relay for Life national awards and recognition program honored Hope’s 2014 event with three accolades.
