GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The city of Grand Haven has asked the Ottawa County Circuit Court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a group seeking to put a 48-foot Christian cross back on the municipally-owned Dewey Hill. Attorney Kevin Sutton claimed that “Citizens of Grand Haven” is not a legal entity and questioned the legal standing of its anonymous members. The group’s lawyer cited fears of legal retaliation if the plaintiffs’ names are disclosed. Judge Jon Hulsing will issue a written decision.
